As space is always a consideration and the need for accurate weighing of bulk products, Nerak offer in their range of Bucket Elevators a built-in weighing assembly to enable the equipment to weigh the product on the move. With weighing accuracy of less than 1%, the weighing system will not only batch weigh, but can be used for dosing along with providing sub and on-going totals.
To assist the end user as much as possible the software is designed to be flexible enough that it can be altered to provide the customer with his own personal requirements. As with all of NERAK’s products we use our unique rubber block belt drive system which are silent in operation, maintenance free and comply with the Health and Safety Executive - Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 which came into effect 6th April, 2006.
When gentle, quiet handling is needed during the manufacture of soap powder Unilever use Nerak continuous and pendulum bucket elevators to convey their products. With the continuous drive to produce ever more efficient production processes Unilever set about minimising the amount of wastage from airborne dust caused at the transfer to and from their bucket elevators when conveying their lighter powders.
THowever process equipment is designed to prevent the escape of dust to the atmosphere and so determining the exact airflow at the point of transfer is not easy. Polycarbonate windows have previously been used to view inside the elevator, however on this occasion it was decided that a more radical approach was needed to determine the airflow within the elevator and hence a bucket elevator was constructed with minimum steelwork and maximum visibility provided by the use of polycarbonate panels – THE GLASS ELEVATOR.
