Pendulum Bucket Elevator Animation
The above animation highlights the flexible configurations which are possible with a pendulum bucket elevator. The system consists of three loading hoppers and three delivery bins connected by a pendulum bucket elevator.
In this example the control system maintains the delivery bins at a near to full level. When product is needed in any of the bins the appropriate bucket is tipped (usually by a pneumatic lever) into the bin requiring a ‘top up’. If the bin is full the bucket simple passes by until the bin level reduces.
The position monitoring of the buckets is normally governed by a shaft encoder resulting in accurate product delivery to the required bin.
